BOUNDARY

Boundary

Can I draw a line—

boundary between us?

Where do I start?

I don’t know what to do

about you. When is silence

more important?

Does this matter—

a few words on a page?

So much easier than closing

the door. Or is it

harder?  Alone, in my room,

what do I gain? Or lose?

  1. Thank you for asking the questions I didn’t know I have, Mary. Such is the profundity of poetry, and its connections.
