RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION

Why resolve again? Past resolutions

have dissolved so easy,

like Sanka crystals into a weak

and bitter brew. Is change

even possible? I am not

an artist. Daily cooking

is tiresome. Under the calm,

a temper like a geyser.

Under the black sweater,

the heart of a nasty little judge.

This year I won’t attempt

anything new.

This coming year I will

accept myself the way I am.

Resolved.

Ayuh. What you wrote. Re-solved. I solve again and again. HA!

  2. Christine Moore says:

Bon chance! I fear I’d have problems with this one. I’m always too critical of myself.
